The Galaxy A8s TWRP recovery is here, give it a try to entre in the land of custom apps. The Samsung Galaxy A8s – a first of its kind phone in Galaxy family you can buy at normal price. Do call it a phone with an infinity-O display (or o-notch would be more suitable). Samsung has used a hole to house the selfie camera instead of utilizing trendy notches and pop-up ports. Putting a lens into a punch hole on the display is quite attractive. The Galaxy A8s from China is a nice handset with a punch-hole camera and some powerful specs. If you load a custom recovery on it, you will have more options to manipulate your experience with it.

Requirements

  • Have phone drivers are installed on your computer.
  • Have device’s battery charged.
  • This procedure may wipe everything stored on phone, so create a full backup. Take care of your valuable data including contacts, SMS, apps, and settings (Note: You can check this guide for help).
  • Have “OEM Unlock” enabled (go to Settings>About Phone, start taping on build number until Developer Options are enabled. Then, go to Developer options and unlock OEM).
  • Download Odin to your computer.

How To Install TWRP Recovery On Galaxy A8s

  1. Turn your phone off.
  2. Boot phone into download mode. Press and hold the power + volume down buttons until your phone enters in download mode.
  3. Launch the ODIN on your computer.
  4. Connect the phone with computer using a USB cable. If you have connected the phone phone properly with ODIN, it will show up a blue sign.
  5. Now, hit “AP” button and locate img.tar file from the folder where you downloaded recovery file.
  6. Do not change anything now, just make sure “re-partition” box and “auto-reboot” are not checked.
  7. Hit “start” button and wait until the custom recovery file completes its installation on phone.
