The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is a professional tablet that can enhance your productivity a lot. Addition of S Pen does help a lot to get you more out of workings. This high-end tablet PC has earned huge interest among users. And now it is receiving the Android 8.0 firmware OTA. Samsung has made a beautiful tablet that support S Pen stylus for getting things done beautifully. The vivid display, fingerprint security, and solid hardware package, all this prove this is a premium tablet.

The new Galaxy Tab S3 Android 8.0 update is based on Samsung’s Experience 9 user interface which enhance many things while adding many new things to manage tasks. You can go to Settings >> About device for seeing if there is OTA available for your tab. The update is pushing out by phases, so it is possible you are stilling waiting for OTA. But if you cannot use OTA or do not want to wait, here’s how to flash it manually using Odin.

Requirement

  • Make sure battery of your device is charged.
  • Create backup of your device (backup everything stored on phone including contacts, messages, and files). You can check this guide to create backup.
  • Download Odin on your computer (the official Samsung firmware flasher).

Disclaimer: This firmware is compatible with Galaxy Tab S3 T820 only (Wi-Fi only tab). Please bear in mind that we will not be held responsible for whatever happen to your device giving a try to this guide. Perform everything at your own risk.

Install Official Android 8.0 Firmware on Galaxy Tab S3

Step One: Download the Galaxy Tab S3 Android 8.0 firmware from here (This is UK firmware but you can flash on any Tab S3 with T820 model).

PDA: T820XXU1BRE2
CSC: T820OXA1BRE2
Model: SM-T820
OS: Android 8.0.0 Oreo

Step Two: Extract the downloaded file into a folder on computer. You may use desktop to use that folder.

Step Three: Power off phone and boot it into download mode (boot pressing down Bixby + volume down + power buttons). Wait until your phone fully enter in download mode.

Step Four: Run the Odin on PC.

Step Five: Locate firmware files on Odin now. Press BL button to locate file starting with BL, then press AP button to locate its file, then CP, and HOME_CSC. Once files are loaded, go ahead.

Step Six: Hit start button and wait until installation is finished.
