The Samsung Galaxy J6 Android 9 update is now rolling out in India. The company has already started pushing out the Android 9 Pie update in other regions with One UI. Now the Indian Galaxy J6 has capability to taste the Samsung’s trendy One UI. This is coming with firmware version J600GDXU3BSD9. So how to grab the update? - Charge the battery of your phone.
- Create backup of your device (backup everything stored on phone including contacts, messages, and files). You can check this guide to create backup.
- Download Odin on your computer (the official Samsung firmware flasher) from here.

Install Official Android 9 Pie Firmware on Galaxy J6 J600G
Step One: Download Galaxy J6 Android Pie One UI firmware from here (you can flash it on any J6 with J600G model).
Model: SM-J600G (also known as J6 Duos)
OS: Android 9 Pie
Step Two: Extract the downloaded file into a folder on computer. You may use desktop to use that folder.
Step Three: Power off phone and boot it into download mode (boot pressing down Bixby + volume down + power buttons). Wait until your phone fully enter in download mode.
Step Four: Run the Odin on PC.
Step Five: Locate firmware files on Odin now. Press BL button to locate file starting with BL, then press AP button to locate its file, then CP, and HOME_CSC. Once files are loaded, go ahead.
Step Six: Hit start button and wait until installation is finished.
